Description | Objectif : The aim of this course is to provide a comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of basic immunology. Immunology from A to Z introduces innate and adaptive immunity and the mechanisms of humoral and cellular immune responses. It is appropriate both for beginners and for students with prior knowledge in immunology. The course is based on the well-known textbook "Cellular and Molecular Immunology" by Abul Abbas et al. Description : In each session, a course participant will present a chapter of the book and lead a short discussion. Experts in the different fields will be invited to supervise the discussion and to provide additional insights. The course is accessible to students with basic knowledge in cellular biology. Master students and postdocs can participate according to availability. Students are expected to read the required chapters in the textbook and to take turns presenting chapters. A minimum attendance of 75 % is required. |

Immunology from A to Z Part 2: Advanced immunology will take place from September to December 2018. This course will examine in depth topics such as regional immunity, immune deficiencies, transplantation and autoimmunity, cancer immunology and immunotherapies. It will consists of 9 sessions.
