Program

Module 1 - Search and evaluate:
• Where to find pertinent tools and how to prepare and information research
• Exploit bibliographic databases in your field (e.g. PubMed, SciFinder, Web of Science)
• Tips on bibliographic research
• Keep up-to-date on new publications
• Evaluate a publication: Journal Citation Reports, h-index, etc.

Module 2 - Organize, use and publish:
• Manage your research data
• How to avoid plagiarism and observe authors' rights
• Know the Open Access movement and submit your work in the Archive ouverte UNIGE

Registration will apply for both modules: it is not possible to register only for one or another module

Practical information

Open to all PhD students of the Faculty of Science
Course given in English
Max. 12 participants for each session
Take place in the Library Lab of the Bibliothèque Schmidheiny (Sciences II)
